Which areas do you service?

We service all areas from - Waihi to Omokoroa -  Waihi, Waihi Beach, Bowentown, Athenree, Katikati, Aongatete, Apata, Omokoroa. 

Can you attend to my call at a certain time?

We endeavour to come to you at a time that suits you. So if you have appointments and wont be home for part of a day, then thats no problem - just let us know -  we will find a time which works for you. We also text or call before we come so you know we are on our way.

What guarantees and warranties do you provide?

We are Katikati Master Plumbers and Master Drainlayers and our work is covered by the Master Plumbers Guarantee. We supply and install a range of quality plumbing products. All tapware, sanitaryware, and kitchenware we supply come with a warranty of at least 1 year. We work with reputable suppliers to ensure the products we supply meet NZ regulations, legislation and standards and that replacement parts are available where possible.We supply quality parts but in the rare circumstance that those parts fail then we will provide a replacement part without charge on behalf of the manufacturer if it is within their warranty period.  Labour and travel costs of replacement will be chargeable where they are not covered by the manufacturer. 

Why do you charge a minimum of one hour?

Like other tradies, we charge a minimum of an hour as it is uneconomic for us to go to a job otherwise. This is because there is alot of behind the scenes administration that goes into a job that isn't seen by customers. From taking the call; to the labour cost of getting to and from the job, to ordering the parts for the job and stocking the van, to writing up the job card and sending you the invoice. So there is a lot more happening behind the scenes that the actual time at your physical time at your place.

Why does it cost more for after hours rates?

We have to pay our plumbers additional rates and provide additional time off for after hours, weekends and public holidays.  Thats the law.  It also takes longer as the plumber has to come to work and stock the van just for that job (whereas on a usual day, this only happens once a day for all jobs). 

Do you provide quotes?

It you have a large job and would like a quote, please don't hesitate to ask. All quotes will be issued in writing on Plumbers 24 seven letterhead and will need to accepted within thirty days of issue. 

What does the travel charge cover?

The travel charge covers the operating costs of the van - petrol, depreciation, insurance etc. It does not cover the labour component of the travel, which is included as part of the time for the labour.
